I am posting it on my site also and adding your site to my list. I only have one other man's site on my list but both of you have such good things for all of us. Thank you.
Besides that, misinformation is not the same as lying, so perhaps you could enlighten us as to what he is wrong about?

Re: Lewis on the atheist’s straw man

More ridiculous strawman claims by someone with straw for brains.

If you didn't lie about what atheists think, say or do, you wouldn't have anything to post. The "ninth commandment" is YOUR rule to obey, so why don't you?

Re: Screwtape and the flesh

Hi Mike,

I'd be happy to have a look, but it is likely that I won't get to it until the summer when things settle down for me a bit.

You should see a "email" tab on the top right of the page - use that to email me. It is visible on the homepage, but I have also added it to the page view (thanks for pointing that out).

I almost mentioned the "horror of the same old thing". There are so many things that could be extracted from Lewis's writings that sometimes it is hard to know when to stop. :)

Thanks!
Darryl

Re: Screwtape and the flesh

Another sin factor that Screwtape noted as leading away from the Light: "'Substitute
for the faith itself some Fashion with a Christian colouring. Work on their horror of the Same Old Thing. The horror of the Same Old Thing is one of the most valuable passions we have produced in the human heart—an endless source of heresies.2"--from the introduction to Love, Prayer, and Forgiveness: When Basics Become Heresies.

If you would care to review it, I would be glad to send the pdf. [I did not notice a contact link.] One of the themes around which it focuses is voiced by Puddleglum in The Silver Chair. ‘You see,Aslan didn’t tell Pole what would happen. He only told her what to do.’” 36

Memorization has blessed my wife and I abundantly. However, through being forced to memorize in NASB after already memorizing many verses in the ESV, I find the NASB to be more difficult to memorize and rougher in its flow. Usually this seems to stem from word order and connecting words. I do wonder if it relates to my consistent reading in the ESV, but my wife agrees and is reading in the NASB. Both are great translations.

Re: Issues with Theistic evolution

Oh, for the good old days when "theistic evolution" was simply considered an oxymoron. Thank you for this helpful post and link. Certainly, the scientific materialism of Darwinists is incompatible with theistic notions of evolution. I don't buy those notions but devout men like Francis Crick do give one pause.

Re: Tips for memorizing scripture

Thank you very much for your comprehensive article!
